Overview
AhnLab is monitoring APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) attacks in South Korea using its own infrastructure. This report covers the classification and statistics of APT attacks in South Korea that were identified in June 2025, as well as the features of each type.

The majority of APT attacks in South Korea have been found to be distributed through the spear phishing method. In June 2025, attacks using LNK files accounted for the largest portion of spear phishing attacks. Attacks using HWP files also increased compared to the previous month.
