Monthly Threat Actor Group Intelligence Report, June 2025
This is a summary of the activities of hacking groups (Threat Actor Groups) analyzed based on the data and information collected by the NSHC Threat Research Lab from May 21, 2025, to June 20, 2025.
In June of this year, activities of a total of 79 hacking groups were identified, with unidentified groups making up the largest portion at 63%, followed by the activities of SectorJ and SectorA groups.
The hacking activities of hacking groups discovered this June primarily targeted officials or systems in government agencies and the manufacturing sector, with the most attacks carried out against countries located in North America and Europe.
SectorA group actively conducted attacks targeting development environments and high-risk social sectors. They exploited development platforms such as GitHub, Supabase, ethers.js, and NPM to attempt supply chain breaches disguised as fake NFT projects and freelance proposals.
