VERIFIED COMPLAINT FOR FORFEITURE IN REM
Plaintiff, the United States of America, through the U.S. Attorney for the District of
Columbia, brings this verified complaint for forfeiture in a civil action in rem against Bitcoin and
BTC.b Seized from Eight Transaction Hashes at Cryptocurrency Bridge-1, hereinafter the
Defendant Funds, and alleges as follows:
JURISDICTION AND VENUE
1.

This Court has original jurisdiction of this civil action by virtue of 28 U.S.C. § 1345,

because it has been commenced by the United States, and by virtue of 28 U.S.C. § 1355(a), because
it is an action for the recovery and enforcement of a forfeiture under an Act of Congress.
2.

Venue is proper here under 18 U.S.C. § 3238 and 28 U.S.C. § 1395(a), (b), and (c).
