EulerFinance refers to the March 2023 flash-loan attack against the Euler Finance decentralized-finance protocol, in which approximately $197 million in cryptoassets was stolen. A transfer from the attacker to an address previously associated with proceeds from the Lazarus-linked Ronin Bridge theft raised the possibility of North Korean involvement, but this was explicitly uncertain and could have been misdirection. Over the following weeks, the attacker returned the stolen assets and apologized through encrypted messages, making the case one of the largest recoveries from a DeFi exploit.
