PiKVM is a legitimate Raspberry Pi-based keyboard-video-mouse-over-IP device, not malware. North Korean employment-fraud operators have used it in U.S.-based laptop farms to control corporate computers remotely as though physically present, reducing software traces and bypassing some endpoint controls. Default devices can expose recognizable USB properties, including PiKVM manufacturer and product strings, the CAFEBABE serial number, and specific vendor and product identifiers, although operators can alter or obfuscate those settings.
